AMR Career Day 2024: V Inspires Future Architects

Knowledge is the key that opens doors to endless possibilities. That is why V Architecture was thrilled to extend its Young V program to the 2024 Career Day at Academia María Reina (AMR). This event provides students with a unique and invaluable opportunity to explore the field of architecture and gain insights into the industry, an opportunity that we deeply appreciate to be a part of.

Once again, our V Blue Bees, V President and Managing Principal Ilia Rios (Class of 1991), Architect and Senior Sustainable & Project Manager Jessica Diaz (Class of 2000), Senior Project Manager Rebecca Irizarry (Class of 1996), and Design & Project Manager Anaida Rios (Class of 2012), shared their love and passion for architecture with high school students at Academia María Reina in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

We imparted information about the essential skills and education required for a career in architecture and how to recognize and develop potential aptitude in this area. Students had the chance to ask questions about the profession and learn about our team members’ experiences.

“It is always extremely emotional and exciting to return to our alma mater, the cornerstone of our education, where it all began, learning from the best teachers and mentors,” expressed Ilia Ríos.

Students could connect their academic learning with tangible, real-world career opportunities by participating in the AMR Career Day. This exposure can help them identify their interests and explore potential career paths, instilling a sense of hope and inspiration for a fulfilling and prosperous future.

V Architecture looks forward to seeing the development of these talented youth and many others who benefit from our firm’s V Legacy via an array of programs designed to help build the future professionals of our communities.
