28 Jan V Architecture Celebrates Senior Designer’s Exhibition Success

V Architecture is thrilled to announce the successful opening of “Las Casitas De Mi Isla: De la Costa a la Montaña,” an exhibition by our talented Senior Designer, Rafael “Rafi” Lugo Vicente. The exhibition opened its doors on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at Las Vitrinas Ponce x Expresiones Perdidas in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

The opening event was a wonderful celebration, with a fantastic turnout of colleagues, friends, students from the Ponce School of Architecture, and tourists exploring the beautiful city of Ponce. Many of Rafi’s V Architecture team members were there to show their support!

Rafi’s exhibition takes viewers on a captivating journey through Puerto Rico’s architectural and cultural heritage. His collection of drawings pays homage to the iconic traditional wooden houses that are so deeply rooted in the island’s identity. These “casitas,” nestled in the mountains and along the coast, evoke a sense of nostalgia, reminding us of family, community, and the harmonious relationship between architecture and the environment.

Rafi has been an invaluable member of the V Architecture family for over 40 years. We are deeply appreciative of his dedication, his artistry, and his contributions to both our firm and the architectural landscape of Puerto Rico. His passion for design and his commitment to preserving the island’s cultural traditions are exemplary and inspiring.
