TASIS Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL)

The TASIS Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) is the latest expansion project set to redefine student life on the Tasis Campus, transforming the interior of 10,000 sf into a dynamic and multi-functional hub for learning, collaboration, and innovation. Designed to meet the evolving needs of students and faculty, this state-of-the-art facility integrates modern amenities with flexible spaces to support a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities.

This space will house a variety of innovative areas designed to enhance student engagement and learning. The Design Media Lab, Student Lounge, Faculty Station, and Nursing Room will provide essential resources for students and staff. The Idea Lab will serve as an incubator for brainstorming and collaborative work, while the Virtual Classroom for teachers and the Remote Learning Lecture Classroom will support modern pedagogical approaches. For younger learners, the Elementary Division Library will offer a dedicated space for reading and exploration.

To encourage community interaction and creative expression, the Student Center will also include a Podcast Studio, a Chill/Play Zone, an art gallery, and a ceramic display. A Multipurpose Room will accommodate various events, ensuring the facility remains adaptable to the school’s growing needs. Thoughtfully designed Collaborative Seating areas will further promote engagement and teamwork among students and faculty.

Responsible for both the architecture and interior design of the CITL, V Architecture has prioritized the well-being and health of all users. Acoustic solutions have been integrated to minimize noise, and interior finishes—such as warm timeless finish, black frame glass partition, vinyl flooring, carpets, acoustical wall panels, and contract furniture with easy-to-clean fabrics—were carefully selected to enhance maintenance and hygiene. School spirit is deeply embedded in the design, with the incorporation of the school’s iconic blue and red colors, communal seating arrangements, and flexible furniture layouts that encourage students to gather, relax, and recharge.

The centerpiece of the Student Lounge is a custom interior tree sculpture, seamlessly integrating nature into the interior space while enhancing the ambiance with acoustic baffle clouds. This distinctive feature cultivates a tranquil and inspiring atmosphere, fostering a deep connection to the natural world within the innovative setting.
