Marriott Design Guidelines were used as a basis for design, but as the brand states, the designer has the opportunity of making each hotel property unique to its diverse location. Therefore, the lively urban-beach vibe served as the main inspiration for the interior design, bringing together industrial urban finishes and details with natural, beach-like textures and colors, marrying perfectly what it means to be a local living in Condado. V Interiors’ design team focused on providing both owners and guests with a distinctive design that will truly pass the test of time. Making sure all finishes would stand the harsh coastal atmosphere was vital to this design, as well as ensuring the durability of FF&E items.

The guest experience begins upon arrival to the corridors, where custom Axminister carpets with vibrant, ocean shore-inspired patterns and colors, as well as tropical weave lighting fixtures, prelude guests to their newly inspired rooms. Once inside the guest room, guests are received with amazing ocean views and a serene color palette, complemented by ocean-blue accents that will promote relaxation and maintain a genuine connection to surroundings. Brass and black metal finishes, combined with white stone and leather fabrics, bring in the spirit of the city, while teak wood finishes and linen-textured contract grade fabrics, provide a fresh, tropical feel all while maintaining hotel standard maintenance requirements.  Impactful architectural elements such as barndoor entrances to all bathrooms, detailed open closet designs, and custom kitchenette & bar millwork for the upgraded suites, give the guestrooms a new elevated approach. Walls are adorned with sculptural artworks designed in collaboration with different artists, using different colors and materials with the intent of playing tribute to Puerto Rico’s diverse local flavor.
