Gilberto Concepción de Gracia High School

The new design for the Gilberto Concepción de Gracia High School in Carolina integrates indoor and outdoor learning activities, offers flexibility of use, adds new areas to accommodate the demand, and incorporates efficient materials, as well as an attractive color scheme, landscaping, and security enhancements.

The new construction comprises four new classrooms at a new wing for Building “B”, the new Special Education Building, and new facilities for a Performance Studio and the Physical Education resources. These bring the total square footage to 80,000.

The school was fitted with an energy-efficient lighting system with the aim to minimize light pollution. It features including a lighting control system consisting of UL listed relay based switching panels and other similar automatic control means will be implemented on all lighting circuits. Learning studios have pendant mounted direct/indirect fluorescent lighting fixtures as well as energy star rated ceiling fans.  Vandal and corrosion resistant fixtures were used in exterior applications.
