30 Apr V Architecture travels to Milano Design Week 2024

V Architecture savored a special design delight in Milan, Italy, splendidly hosted by Mirage and the San Juan Mirage Project Point by Carlos Robles.

Our first stop was the Mirage Headquarters and Production Facilities in Pavulo Nel Frigniano, nestled on the fringes of the Apennines Mountains.  Here, we were introduced to the cutting-edge innovations in designing, developing, and fabricating state-of-the-art, environmentally-conscious ceramic products for various architectural applications, including millwork, floors, walls, and exterior façades.

Then, we moved to the Lombardy Region to enjoy a few days of the 2024 Milano Design Week, where we participated in the Mirage exhibition to unveil two of their newest lines, sure to set an industry trend.  The introduction of the concept Atelier Mirage with the Nagomi mosaic series is poised to elevate tile design in a way that is best described as “Haute Couture” but set to dress up architectural spaces.

As part of the Design Week Experience, many galleries, stores, and workshops offered an exquisite sample of their up-and-coming design lines in the ambiance of a high-grade street fair, cocktails, and exhibitions. The SuperShow at Via Tortona, in the city’s design center, was filled with design prototypes and examples of things to come from around the world.  From innovations in furniture design by 3D Printing to the reinterpretation of Earth-conscious materials for everyday household use, the exhibition hall was a real treat for the designer’s eye and mind.
