29 Apr V Architecture Enjoys the Innovations at ShawContract LATAM Client Experience

V Architecture was excited to participate in the ShawContract LATAM Client Experience at their Georgia Headquarters from April 21 to 24, 2024. Joining us were architects and designers specializing in commercial design from various regions, including Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico. This immersive journey was a goldmine of learning. It introduced us to ShawContract’s newest collections and innovations in flooring materials like LVT, carpet, and carpet tiles. 

Our visit to the Shaw Create Centre was eye-opening. We got up close with the design processes of LVT and carpet products, learning about their commitment to sustainability through their circular economy program. They focus on material health, product circularity, renewable energy, water stewardship, and social fairness – a holistic approach we admire. Touring the manufacturing plants was a hands-on learning experience. From material sourcing to assembly methods and color applications, Shaw’s dedication to sustainability and waste reduction was evident at every step. We even got a sneak peek into their Custom Design Studio, where they specialize in creating bespoke designs for commercial spaces like hotels. Seeing how they turned conceptual sketches into stunning carpet designs was fascinating!

The opportunity to connect with professionals from across LATAM was a priceless aspect of the experience. It ignited stimulating conversations about design and industry trends. A standout moment was the team-building exercise, during which we collaborated to create a graffiti mural themed around “design.” It was a fun way to explore teamwork and creativity.
