Tasis Dorado Wellness And Athletic Center

The Wellness and Athletics Center (WAC) is a state-of-the-art gymnasium complex at TASIS Dorado. The proposed facility will blend classic, mission architecture with a bold, contemporary style, raising TASIS Dorado to the level of the best private schools in the world. The Wellness & Athletics Center will feature an air-conditioned arena with wood floors and seating for more than 750 spectators. The large center court can be divided into two smaller courts for volleyball, basketball, or indoor soccer. Meanwhile, specially treated glass windows will allow the space to be filled with natural light. In addition, there will be locker rooms with showers, fitness rooms, a rock-climbing wall, multi-purpose rooms for exercise and dance, and rooms for culinary arts, counselors, a nurse’s station, and other specialists. Aside from athletics and physical education, this center has been envisioned as a place where a wide range of services and resources related to wellness will be available to all our students and teachers. There is an ever-expanding body of research showing the profound connection between the psycho-social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual aspects of human flourishing. We intend to address the well-being of the whole person, for both students and faculty.
