Miraida Rodríguez Muñiz is a dynamic architect specializing in process optimization and is known for her various achievements in the field. With a Master’s in Design & Innovation Technologies from the Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy, Miraida’s academic journey has been marked by excellence. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture and Business Administration with a focus on Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
Miraida’s educational pursuits have taken her beyond borders. She immersed herself in the history of architecture in Havana, Cuba, and deepened her understanding of urban planning and the history of New York at Columbia University.
Her ingenuity and creativity have earned her numerous accolades, including the IDEAS First Place award for her thesis project, “Flooded in Tires,” exploring innovative uses of tire materials in construction. Her technical skills contributed to her team’s recognition when they were awarded first place in the Library of Congress Drawings Collection competition of historic buildings.
In her professional journey, Miraida seamlessly blends architectural expertise with strategic leadership. For several years, she served as the Executive Director of the Colegio de Arquitectos y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico (CAAPPR), where she demonstrated her prowess in project management, community engagement, and program development. When coordinating seminars and continuing education programs, she played a fundamental role in the growth and advancement of the architectural community.
Miraida’s impact extends beyond the architectural field, having worked in product design, brand imaging, and market expansion initiatives. Her commitment to pushing boundaries and driving progress makes her influential in shaping the built environment.
