In the transformation of this iconic beachfront restaurant, V Architecture acted as the conductor of a well-orchestrated symphony, bridging vision and execution across disciplines. From synchronizing the interior design and kitchen operations to aligning hospitality management, food and beverage consultants, and engineering teams, we ensured every decision served both aesthetics and function. Each move was the result of a deliberate and collaborative design process.

With precision and care, the design team identified the areas to be demolished and those to be preserved, always honoring the architectural significance and sculptural beauty of La Concha’s signature shell-shaped structure. The original architecture was treated with reverence, preserving the essence of this historic landmark while subtly enhancing its function for a new era.

One of the most significant challenges was adapting the interior to meet the specific needs of Michelin-star chef Michael White and a high-performance kitchen operation. Our solution was delivered with understated elegance: a custom-designed aluminum and glass canopy that subtly links the existing structure to the kitchen. The canopy’s transparency and refined geometry allow it to blend harmoniously with the existing architecture, offering a seamless transition between past and present. This thoughtful intervention not only met critical operational needs but also gave rise to a striking new lounge and bar area—now the social heart of the restaurant.
