Rafael (Rafi) has been our design architect since joining the firm in 1980. For over 30 years he has been responsible for the design of most of the firm’s projects of a wide range of project types, including large-scale master plans, mixed use developments, office buildings, hospitality developments, commercial buildings and civic government projects. Rafi has been a key figure in supporting integrated design approach bringing creative solutions to projects from concept to completion.
His responsibilities begin with initial programming working directly with clients; he develops design concepts, and develops the designs through aid in construction documentation and specification. His support continues through construction and project completion. Rafi’s understanding of scale and construction means and methods ensures quality and functionality design on every project. He is recognized as a strong and agile designer who responds positively to client’s vision, budget and schedule.
Rafi has a Master in Architecture from the University of Puerto Rico.
